Hey y’all!
I’m Jodi, the Dreamer and Doer behind this wild and wonderful homestead adventure. And right beside me, through every season, is my husband, Tom—my high school sweetheart, best friend, and the guy who still knows how to make me laugh after 38 years. He’s the Backbone and Brawn behind the hard work, the Foundation and Strength that keeps us going, and the steady hand that makes this life possible. Together, we’ve built something truly special—filled with love, laughter, and plenty of farm-fresh chaos.
Together, we raised three incredible kids—Jennifer (36), Jason (35), and Marie (34)—who have now blessed us with the greatest joy of all: seven amazing grandkids (six granddaughters and one very lucky grandson!). There’s always a lot of noise, plenty of running around, and more than a few muddy boots on the porch, but honestly? I wouldn’t have it any other way.
How Our Homesteading Dream Took Root…
In 2014, we set out on a mission—to find a place where we could plant our roots, build our dreams, and live a simpler, more intentional life. After months of searching (and a few “what were we thinking?” moments), I came across an old farmhouse that felt like home the second I stepped inside. It wasn’t perfect, but I knew in my heart it was where we belonged. And just like that, our homesteading adventure began!
Life on the Homestead 🌾🐔🐐
These days, our little farmstead is bustling with life—from the hens clucking in the yard and the goats causing mischief to the buzzing of bees hard at work. The animals are the true heart and soul of our farm, bringing joy, purpose, and a little bit of mischief to each day. And me? I’m the Dreamer and Doer—the one with my hands in the dirt, tending to the land, making sure everything runs as smoothly as farm life allows, and always chasing the next idea to make our homestead even better. The garden is always growing, the kitchen is always filled with something delicious, and there’s never a dull moment around here!
