Wooden Pallet Compost Bin

Turn kitchen scraps and yard waste into nutrient-rich compost with this easy DIY compost bin.

Supplies:

• 3 wooden pallets (same size)
• Nails or screws
• Drill or hammer
• Hinges (optional for a front-opening door)

Instructions:

1️⃣ Choose a Spot: Select a well-drained, sunny area in your yard.
2️⃣ Assemble the Sides: Stand two pallets upright to form a corner and secure them together with screws or nails.
3️⃣ Attach the Back Panel: Secure the third pallet to the back, forming a U-shape.
4️⃣ Optional Door: Add hinges to a fourth pallet to create a front-opening door.
5️⃣ Start Composting: Layer brown (leaves, cardboard) and green (food scraps, grass clippings) materials, turning occasionally.
